Ashley River Soccer Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment for young athletes in our community.

 

ARSC is a member of South Carolina Youth Soccer (SCYS) and participates in the Coastal Premier League (CPL). ​

Our 
Programs

U8 Development

The ARSC U8 Development Program is designed to introduce young players to club soccer in a fun, supportive, and development-focused environment. For players aged 6-8 years old. 

Junior Academy

The Junior Academy Program is designed for players ages U9 through U12 who are ready for a more competitive club soccer environment while maintaining a strong emphasis on development.

Competitive

For boys and girls U13 and older - coming Fall 2026.

Spring Training (age 12+)

Training-only option for competitve players 12 and older.  Designed for those who want additional training, or who would like to build skills between seasons. 

U8 Development Program

Smaller-sided games are best for learning. We’ll focus on 5 v 5 in-house matches to maximize touches and decision-making. We’ll also enter one boys team and one girls team into the SCYS Coastal Premier League, with the roster rotating weekly based on effort, skills, and tactical awareness. We’ll train as one group, with multiple USSF-certified coaches.

  • 8 in-house games

  • 6-8 Coastal Premier League games (for select team)

  • twice weekly training sessions, 1-hour long

  • 13 weeks total

Program cost: $250

​

Additional costs: uniform (two jerseys + socks: $64) + team fees for CPL team members

Junior Academy Program (U9-U12)

The Junior Academy teams participate in competitive league play in the SC Youth Soccer (SCYS) Coastal Premier League.  Training is led by experienced,  USSF licensed coaches who focus on technical development, tactical understanding, and decision-making appropriate to each age group. The program aims to build confident, well-rounded players and establish a strong foundation for future success in higher levels of competition.

  • 6-8 Coastal Premier League games (for select team)

  • twice weekly training sessions, 1-hour long (U9) or 1.25 hours (U10-U12)

  • 2 tournaments (3-4 games guaranteed - max one out-of-town tournament)

  • 13 weeks total

Program cost: $350 (for Spring 2026)

Additional costs: uniform (two jerseys + shorts + two pairs of socks: $102) + team fees for CPL team members

Spring Training (ages 12+)

This program is going to focus on individual technical growth and small side tactics. Players will work with licensed coaches in a positive, challenging environment focused on individual development and smarter team play.

​

This is a great fit for players preparing for club, school, or higher-level competition, or anyone who simply loves the game and wants more quality training time.

  • twice weekly training sessions (Mon, Wed 6:45-8:00PM)

  • specialized sessions with guest coaches (e.g. strength & conditioning)

  • 13 weeks total

Program cost: $250 (for Spring 2026) *pro-rated for late signups

Competitive (U13+)

U13+ competitive program is designed for players who are committed to developing at a higher level. Teams train multiple times per week in a structured, development-focused environment led by licensed coaches.

​

At this stage, the game becomes more demanding and more rewarding. Players are expected to demonstrate commitment, coachability, and a desire to improve. Our goal is to prepare athletes not only for high school soccer, but also to build the foundation for those who aspire to play at the next level.

​

U13-U18 teams play full-field 11v11 soccer and will participate in the SCYS state leagues. 

​​

Starting Fall 2026.  Evals will be held the first week of May. ​

COSTS & FEES EXPLAINED

Our goal is and forever will be to keep soccer affordable for families in Charleston. Our fees are amongst the lowest in the area.

ARSC: community supported soccer

Fees:

Club Fees

  • U8 Development: $250 (13 weeks | January 25-April 25)

  • U9-U12 Junior Academy: $350 (13 weeks | January 25-April 25)

Club Fee covers:

  • Coach pay

  • SCYS player registration

  • SCYS team league registration

  • field rental/lease

  • field maintenance & repair

  • equipment (balls, pinnies, cones, etc)

  • insurance

  • administrative costs.

Team Fees

Each season team fees will be collected from every player twice - once for fall session, once for spring - to cover team-specific costs.  These costs will be tallied up and divided amongst team members.  Each season the ARSC team parent liaison will guide teams in running team-specific and individual player fundraisers to help cover or offset team fee costs.

Team fees cover:

  • referee costs (U9-U10 = $20/game | U11-U12 = $40/game)

  • tournament entry fees (2x $700-ish)

  • tournament travel expenses for one non-parent coach

Uniforms

Uniforms are purchased on a two year cycle.  Our current uniforms started Fall 2025 and will be used this spring as well as Fall 2026-Spring 2027.  Uniforms are purchased through Lloyds-Soccer Village in Mt Pleasant. 

 

  • U8 Development uniforms: $64 (two jerseys + socks)

  • U9+ Junior Academy uniforms:  $102 (two jerseys, shorts, two colors of socks).
