Board of Directors

President
Michael Wieckowski
Mike brings a unique blend of leadership, innovation, and community focus to the role. He is the Founder and CEO of LUMIQ Inc., a Charleston-based technology startup, and also serves as the CTO of Orbis Inc., where he leads cutting-edge research and development initiatives.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, he holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He is also a member of the Board of Directors at Charlestowne Montessori School, reflecting his strong commitment to education and youth development.
While he never played soccer himself, he’s a lifelong hockey player and passionate supporter of youth sports. As a parent of three daughters (with his wife Yana of 16 years) —two of whom play club soccer—he’s deeply invested in creating a high quality, accessible, and sustainable club soccer program in the Charleston area.

Vice President
Corrie Altenburg
Corrie is a proud lifelong resident of West Ashley with deep roots in the local soccer community. A former player at West Ashley High School, she helped lead her team to back-to-back state championships in 2002 and 2003. She went on to graduate from Clemson University and later earned her master’s degree in Communication Disorders, building a career as a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist.
Corrie and her husband, Nick, have been married for 15 years and are raising three active children who share their passion for sports and the outdoors. When she’s not cheering from the sidelines, Corrie enjoys traveling, reading, attending concerts, relaxing at the beach, and playing soccer and other sports with her kids.
Corrie is dedicated to expanding access to quality, community-based youth soccer opportunities in West Ashley.

Secretary
Matt Eck
Matt grew up just outside Birmingham, Alabama, where he developed a lifelong love of sports. He played club soccer and was a multi-sport athlete in high school, competing in football, soccer, and wrestling. He went on to attend the U.S. Naval Academy, earning three varsity letters as a member of the sailing team.
Following college, Matt stayed active in sports through sailing, surfing, men’s league soccer, and long-distance racing. After serving seven years as a Naval Officer, he transitioned to a career in medical sales.
Now living in West Ashley with his wife of 16 years, Katie, and their two daughters—both devoted club soccer players—Matt brings both personal and professional experience to the youth sports community. He is deeply committed to helping young athletes build a lifelong love for the game and is especially passionate about expanding access to soccer opportunities for kids in West Ashley.
