Ashley River Soccer Club (ARSC) is a nonprofit youth soccer organization. We are a member of South Carolina Youth Soccer (SCYS) and participate in the Coastal Premier League (ages U8-U12). Starting for the fall 2026-spring 2027 season, we will also be adding Academy programs (U13+).
The club soccer season includes fall (end of August - end of November/early December) + spring (end of January - end of April).

NEW FOR 2026/2027
Updated Birthdate Age Group Matrix
Starting with the 2026–2027 season, U.S. Soccer is introducing a new age group player formation cycle that shifts away from the traditional calendar birth-year system.
Players will now be grouped on a seasonal/school-year cycle → August 1 – July 31.
In other words, compared to previous seasons the cutoff for an age group MOVED BACK IN TIME from 12/31 to 8/1.

More information:
Evaluations cost.
ARSC evaluations cost $20. This includes a numbered training shirt, which should be worn to all evaluation sessions. Training shirts will be used as "practice jerseys" in the upcoming season. The fee also helps ARSC cover the cost of renting fields for evaluation sessions.
We are committed to making soccer accessible in Charleston for ALL families - if you are unable to cover the cost of evaluations please email us at registrar@ashleyriversoccer.com. We can work with you to offset this cost & begin the conversation of financial assistance for club fees, team fees, etc.
Does my child need to attend all evaluation sessions?
No - but we HIGHLY recommend that you attend as many as possible. This is especially important for players who are new to ARSC.
My child was on an ARSC team for Spring 2026 - do they need to come to evaluations?
YES - EVERY player, including current ARSC players, must attend evaluations each year. All players who wish to be considered for selection on a ARSC team for the 2026/27 season must register, regardless of their club affiliation for the prior year. This is particularly important this year with the change in age group birthdate cutoff.
