Ashley River Soccer Club is a non-profit, youth soccer organization based in West Ashley, SC whose mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment for young athletes in our community.  

 

ARSC is a member of South Carolina Youth Soccer (SCYS).

Academy Program
(U13-U19)

Overview:

The Academy Program is designed for players in age groups U13 & higher who want to continue in a competitive club soccer environment.

 

Training curriculum is designed by our Technical Director with help from our Director of Coaching and implemented by the DOC and U8 Program Director.  All coaches are USSF trained and certified. 

League

Academy teams will participate in SC Youth Soccer (SCYS) leagues. 

Location

Practices will be held mid-week (M-Th) at fields in West Ashley.  Some travel will be required to away league games and tournaments (typically 2 away tournaments/year). 

Program Details

U13+ competitive program is designed for players who are committed to developing at a higher level. Teams train multiple times per week in a structured, development-focused environment led by licensed coaches.

At this stage, the game becomes more demanding and more rewarding. Players are expected to demonstrate commitment, coachability, and a desire to improve. Our goal is to prepare athletes not only for high school soccer, but also to build the foundation for those who aspire to play at the next level.

U13-U19 teams play full-field 11v11 soccer and will participate in the SCYS state leagues.

  • 7+ league games 

  • 2-3 training sessions/week (1.25+ hour sessions)

  • 2 tournaments per season

  • FALL (August-Nov/Dec) + SPRING (end January-April/early May)

    • exact dates depends on tournaments and post-season play

COSTS & FEES EXPLAINED

Our goal is and forever will be to keep soccer affordable for families in Charleston. Our fees are amongst the lowest in the area.

Academy Club Fees: ​

  • U13-U14 Academy: $1050* (FALL + SPRING)

  • U15+ Academy: $650* (FALL ONLY)

 

  • ​Payment can be made in full or in monthly installments.

  • Financial assistance is available, please contact us at financialaid@ashleyriversoccer.com for more information.

*Note: teams participating in the new National 1 League may have some additional costs due to higher league registration and participation costs.

Club Fee covers:

  • Coach stipends

  • SCYS player registration

  • SCYS team league registration

  • referee fees*

  • field rental/lease

  • field maintenance & repair

  • equipment (balls, pinnies, cones, etc)

  • Director of Coaching + Technical Director Stipends

  • insurance

  • administrative costs.

Team Fees

Each season team fees will be collected from every player twice - once for fall session, once for spring - to cover team-specific costs.  These costs will be tallied up and divided amongst team members.  Each season the ARSC team parent liaison will guide teams in running team-specific and individual player fundraisers to help cover or offset team fee costs.

Team fees cover: ​

  • tournament entry fees (typically $850-ish/tournament)

  • tournament travel expenses for one non-parent coach

  • coach travel expenses for games over 50 miles away

  • referee fees

  • any other team-specific costs

Uniforms

Uniforms are purchased on a two year cycle.  Our current uniforms started Fall 2025 and will be used through the Spring 2027 season.  Uniforms are purchased through Lloyds-Soccer Village in Mt Pleasant. ​ The required uniform purchase will be around $100 (two jerseys, shorts, two colors of socks).
